Kaiserschmarrn was originally made for Empress Sissi of Austria. But she, unfortunately, did not like the pastry at all. Emperor Franz then wanted to try the novel dish and said to Sissi "Let me try this Schmarrn." It became the emperor's favorite dish and from then on was called 'Kaiserschmarrn' (= emperor nonsense). Ingredient list: 400ml milk, 4 eggs, 1 pinch of salt, 3 tablespoons granulated sugar, 1 pkg. vanilla sugar, 200g flour, a handful of raisins, 1-2 tablespoons clarified butter for baking Baking time: 10 minutes Tip: If you don't have an oven-proof pan, you can of course bake the Kaiserschmarrn directly in the pan over low heat!
