Assembling an Orthopedic Drill
Duration 1m
Drills are one of the most essential tools in the arsenal of an orthopedic surgeon. It allows us to place hardware during surgery and place pins at the bedside for patients with longitudinally unstable fractures that require traction. Here’s a video of how to assemble a drill from your typical pin insertion set. Smaller wires require the use of a wire driver, while larger diameter pins require the use of a chuck. Each drill has both a forward and a reverse setting to advance or retract hardware. Subscribe to Dr. Chef Boy MD on of.com/chefboymd
